"Paid for the Superior Room and asked for early check-in was not the case last room to be ready after normal check-in time not happy in addition we were on second floor and sounded like a herd of elephants above very thin ceiling tile. Would have liked if breakfast was not the same food everyday especially since we paid for it, free coffee would have been nice in the lobby, air conditioner fan ran constantly, and lastly beware the hot water was very touchy as it was well beyond a normal temperature easily could have been burned."
"Amazing staff willing to try to accommodate any request. Great location to see everything in town (it’s very walkable and you can also rent a bike and go anywhere) and to travel to and from other countries. The room could’ve been a tiny bit cleaner but honestly it seems every hotel has let standards slip since Covid. First hotel in Europe I’ve seen where the thermostat will let you set the A/C below 20C, place deserves 5 stars for that alone."
"Very disappointing experience. The power in my room went out around midnight and despite several calls to the front desk, I was told nothing could be done. My room was completely dark and I couldn't charge my phone or laptop.
I had an important meeting in the morning, and the issue wasn't fixed until around 7:00 AM. The power then went out again, and when I called for assistance, the staff seemed annoyed and spoke to me as if I was responsible for the problem.
Technical issues can happen, but the poor communication and unhelpful attitude made the experience much worse."
"The hotel is in an excellent location, has charming staff and a fantastic breakfast. Very convenient to the tram, Leidseplein, and walking distance to a lot of great restaurants. We loved our stay here"
