2nd time we've stayed at this hotel. Rooms are large and quiet. We stayed in the least expensive category room and it was just fine, king bed, large room and bathroom, and a window overlooking the inside courtyard. Breakfast was included as was wifi and both were excellent. Train station is across the street which is great if you are traveling by train, but because the station is small there's really no noise, congestion, or questionable areas. The bathrooms have been recently upgraded and it looks great. The rooms are clean and the location is great! Parking: You have to park in the lot across the street which is inexpensive. They only charge for daylight hours, so we only paid a few Euro. However, if you are planning on staying a few days, expect to pay 30+ Euro, depending on your trip length.

The location is GREAT on the main road in Appenzell. The staff is super friendly and helpful in suggestion things to do. The breakfast was very good as well. The only to be aware of (which wasn't a negative for us) is the Church right across the street rings its bells until pretty late and again at 6:30 am. They are awesome bells, but very loud. The location of this hotel could not have been any better for exploring Arbon over the Easter Holiday weekend. Most of the staff was gone for the holiday but the ones who were there went above and beyond, even for us non-German speakers.

Great breakfast selections. Very neat rooms. Well worth the budget. Although it had no fridge for a single room be advised

Nice location. We didn’t need a car, because it’s only ten minutes walk from train station and ten minutes walk to old town, just across the bridge. Excellent breakfast and comfortable bed.

Host was very friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. Dinner at restaurant was excellent.

Checking in was seamlessly done by myself without any contact with the hotel staff, however, I later needed help with purchasing from the vending machine but no staff was around to assist. Overall, it was a great experience and I liked this place.
