We had a great stay here fabulous hotel but the food was not up to the standard of hotel pretty basic really if I’m honest.
Brealoat both restaurants were ok nothing special and evening meal on both night just fine nothing special
we found our stay to be one of the best to date and we have stoped at a lot of hotel,s all over the world, we could not find a fault any were will stop again when we are in that part of the country again. A big thank you p s you don,t need photos of the place as the surprice of what you get when you see it all is better than a photo
The rooms are fairly small, but this is to be expected in such an old building. Spotlessly clean, good supplies of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and biscuits provided too. High quality linens.
The pub itself serves good quality beer (Wadworth's and associates), and the home cooked food was also great and healthy(ish).
Breakfast was hearty, with a good choice of options.

Beautiful location in the countryside, in a sweet town that was fun to walk around and enjoy the peacefulness. Breakfast was great, and the staff were all very friendly.
Sue greeted us at reception, she was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and tidy.

A truly delightful hotel in a convenient location with excellent staff and facilities. Impossible to fault overall - 2 tips… dont park under the trees in front of the building. I dont know what the birds eat, but they eat A LOT of it. Then theres steps….pack light, you’ll be hauling your luggage up a LOT of steps :-) - its a 13th century manor house, lifts werent a “thing” !
The hotel is picture perfect for a trip to the Cotswolds. It’s centrally located in the Centre of town. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar were cozy and the food delicious. The room was perfect for a solo traveler. Would stay here again on a return to the Cotswolds!!
Friendly and welcoming staff (the ladies on reception and at breakfast) made it for me as a solo traveller. The quality of the food was exceptional; I had the truffle arancini and goats cheese brioche for room service and it was absolutely delicious. Beautiful breakfast. Lovely designed hotel with great location and easy parking.

An infrequent visitor to Blenheim Palace should factor in a couple of days in Woodstock, and the Buttery is a solid BB option, particularly if you are traveling without a car. Bus transport (S3) from Oxford is convenient, and the palace is a ten minute stroll away. Breakfast choices run from Full English to crumpets and tea. Staff is friendly, the upstairs room comfortable and everything worked including the free WiFi. Key access and security is well conceived, given no on-site management...
Perfect family suite with two bedrooms. Roof hatch was fun to have, functional as well as aesthetic. 6 minutes ride to the Stow center, good uber availability.
We absolutely loved our stay - the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.
Breakfast was great, lots of options. We enjoyed all the food we ate there, great variety on the menu and fresh tasting food.
We booked to stay here during the British Grand Prix and thought it was excellent value for money. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and seem recently renovated. Our room was up lots of stairs - this wasn’t a problem for us but worth considering your luggage.
