ONLY spent one night here but it was very special. An abandoned Cretan village now turned into a tasteful, sophisticated hotel with opportunities for wine tastings and spa treatments if desired. EXCELLENT restaurant with great wine list. Breakfast offers a variety of choices. Staff are obliging and friendly. I have seen other posts which say the prices are high for Crete but I don'g think you can compare this level of accommodation, food and service with other hotels in Crete.

A fantastic place to stay. If you want to have a small Greek village experience, you will love this hotel’s location. Yet, it’s an easy drive to several ancient sites and the cool town of Matala.
