"Great location, within easy walking distance to Armenian Street and Komtar, and easy for getting Grabs to anywhere else. Check in was easy and welcoming, we did have to pay 6MYR for room tax and have a 200MYR deposit charge on our card. We also got complimentary afternoon tea vouchers for each day of our stay. It was a nice break from sightseeing to get free tea, coffee and snacks from 3-5pm. Hotel and rooms are a bit dated but that is part of the charm."

He was very knowledgeable of the area and was able to recommend places to eat and visit. Sagor and Jame were always responsive to our needs and kep the property very neat and tidy. The location was good, not too far from Komtar and 1st Avenue mall, but you really need to be steady on your feet to manage the footpaths, or lack thereof, to get there. I had lived in Penang a long time ago, so I was kind of used to it, but as a senior, it took a little more focus to stay upright than when I was young....

"A large quiet airy room. Great view. Near to great sites although we used Grab a lot due to the heat. Air con very efficient. Pool welcome and clean. Staff at breakfast were excellent and the selection plentiful for our needs. Lifts very swift. Coffee shop Art and Soul was lovely."
