Property is about a 40 minute drive from the airport, 15 min walk from the center of town. They really care about their business here. Support local small businesses. They truly care.

I had an unfortunate tragedy occur during the flight to Iceland where my wife passed away. The staff here at Storm hotel were over and above extremely accommodating, kind and caring. They had a room ready for me early and blocked it off for me for the duration of my extended stay. The clerks at the front desk were all so nice, caring and friendly, and made me feel as comfortable as possible. When I hadn't been down to breakfast they graciously brought food up to my room for me. Words cannot...
We stayed our first night at Hotel Selfoss. It is located facing the river, which was a great view to wake up to. The continental breakfast was great! Dining in the restaurant looking at the river was a perfect way to start the morning. The hotel has a modern and stylish feel to it.
Love hotel halfway between the airport and downtown. The room itself was super comfy (with a lovely bathtub!) and the concierge was very helpful. The breakfast was your typical nice hotel breakfast (eggs, bacon, cold cuts, etc), plus a sampling of exotic meats (e.g. smoked whale). The only thing I did not like was the church bell across the street that rings every 15 minutes, but the hotel provides ear plugs. They were a great help.
Perfect location to walk around Reykjavík. Lots of food options, shops and bars on the same street. The hotel staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Everyone on-site spoke English and gave advice. It is street parking which you have to pay for, it is free after 6PM though.
This boutique hotel was wonderful! Staff was amazing, especially manager, Sabrina, who was as helpful and accommodating as a concierge would have been at a luxury hotel!
Our super clean room was not huge, but was certainly adequate.
