"One word, excellent! Service, comfort were perfect! We were in a pool villa bordering the beach. The only thing is that all cocktails are too expensive. Better going outside for cheaper cocktails. "

"Owner was super nice and very welcoming- gave us a high floor room as requested (thank you) which was huge a with a kitchen and massive balcony! Pool is lovely and good for proper swimming- not many sunbeds (and a lot of “towels on sunbeds at 8am going on!!” but we are beach people anyway! Great location tucked away behind the main road in lovely gardens! So quiet. All staff amazing and rooms clean - beds showers great. 5 mins to the beach and bottled water given every day! "Did a detox at The Spa Resorts Lamai Beach. Superb healthful resort with excellent programmes for all types of detoxing. Yoga, meditation and all right on the beach. Literally step off the restaurant to your lounger on the gorgeous deserted beach. Raw food restaurant is really good. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby. Beautiful in house spa and gym. I recommend. "

"Lovely setting with beach bungalows in a nice garden. Breakfast was really tasty - set menu but could order more than one item! Beach itself is idyllic and great for snorkelling/kayaking. Service was really good, especially a big shout out for the ice cream cake for my birthday! Only downside to this place was that the bed was a little hard for us westerners, but aside from that, all good. "

"I made a reservation in October for December 29. The confirmation email, approx. two pages long, only mentioned at the very bottom that checkin closes at 6pm. Unacceptable. That should be upfront in LARGE PRINT. Hotels.com finds it acceptable. I will no longer do business with them."

"Not a nice property. It was in a loud kind of seedy area of Lamai. The room was ok and quiet with earplugs and probably ok for a night but if you have the means to pay a bit more, then get something better. "

It is helpful to have a car as the villa was very high on the mountain and walking was not an option."
