Aberdeen and related destinations
Discover the birthplace of Kurt Cobain, where the Aberdeen Museum of History chronicles the grunge icon's early days. The Kurt Cobain Riverfront Park offers a poignant tribute with its concrete guitar and memorable lyrics. Anglers can try for steelhead and salmon in the Chehalis River, while nature enthusiasts should explore the nearby Olympic National Forest's misty trails. This 'Gateway to the Olympic Peninsula' balances its logging heritage with natural beauty at spots like Damon Point and Half Moon Bay. The Grays Harbor Historical Seaport connects visitors to the region's maritime past. For a surprising twist, Westport Winery offers tastings just outside town after a day of beachcombing or wildlife watching along the rugged Washington coast.

Rain Forest Resort Village
"We stayed in Cabin 18, and it had a spectacular view of the lake and sunset. The porch was fabulous to sit and relax while gazing at the lake, where I saw and heard loons on the lake in the morning. This little complex has everything you need, including immediate access to beautiful trails and an onsite laundry! There’s a fantastic restaurant with a bar on the grounds as well. The food is outstanding and we highly recommend the steak and salmon. This is not the place for you if you are looking for luxury, but if you want an authentic cabin experience this IS the place. The wood-paneled interior and fireplace were charming and gave such a cozy feel, and the kitchenette was convenient. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Great experience friendly staff. Could benefit from keeping the air conditioner cleaned. High amount of transient types obviously addicted to drugs, but I never felt worried about my safety. No problems other than that, I will stay here again."

The Canterbury Inn
"Staff was always ready to help and friendly as they alerted us to the best places to see, eat and shop. Room was so çute and cozy, the maids do great work with cleaning and prepping. During my stay we were blessed to watch deer graze in the yard as we enjoyed the balcony view. We had a lovely time in our suite."
Lake Quinault Lodge
"This is an old property. But you can tell they are making improvements. There is no cell phone service anywhere on the property and the WiFi is not very good. They want you to pay to upgrade the WiFi. When we checked in the room was clean but not recently. There were huge dusty webs hanging down from the ceiling that I cleaned myself. The beds are ok but the pillows are horrible. The real saving grace for this hotel was the view from the lakeside room and the historical details in the facility. The bartender was the nicest person on staff. Everyone else just seemed very busy and not really helpful."
Olympic Inn & Suites
"Nothing to complain about here. It’s a budget hotel that has quiet rooms and is kept clean, which is all you can ask for. As a plus, the rooms are big!"
