"Basic but comfortable and clean"
The Chancery Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The Chancery is an excellent hotel. We enjoyed the quiet but convenient location and the excellent quality of the food in their restaurant [The Fawn] and their Bar. The buffet breakfast was also excellent. It is an ultramodern hotel that if anything is a bit gimmicky. Electronically controlled curtains are one thing, but having a motor driven sliding door as the entry to the bathroom took a bit getting used to. The positive side of that is it actually closed and locked better than almost any other sliding door I have used. The only failing was that in part we chose it for its location next to Dublin Palace, Unfortunately while we were in Dublin the Palace and the streets around it were blocked off for a once in a generation event during which the ceremonial seat of the EU Presidency was located there."

"This hotel is so nice! the staff are extemely pleasant and helpful. They even arranged for a cab to take me to the airport! the rooms are very nice and the beds comfortable. Tey don't have Guinness which is a bit of a bummer, but they do have Beamish which is a very good second choice lol you won't regret staying here"
