Learn more about Crater Lake
Impossibly blue waters fill America's deepest lake, a collapsed volcano that seems to defy reality. The Rim Drive offers viewpoints where cameras fail to capture the surreal color that locals swear changes hourly. Brave souls can descend the Cleetwood Cove Trail to swim in water so clear and cold it feels like liquid glass. Rangers at Rim Visitor Center explain how this perfect caldera formed 7,700 years ago. Wizard Island rises dramatically from the lake, accessible only by boat tours that fill quickly in summer. The Pinnacles reveal ghostly ash spires along Annie Creek Canyon Trail. Winter brings cross-country skiing opportunities when snow transforms the rim into a silent wonderland.

"Very accommodating & friendly staff."
Sleep Inn & Suites Chiloquin-Crater Lake Junction
10/10 Excellent
"The property was great! Very clean, nice breakfast, good access to water for our water bottles, and we enjoyed the hot tub and fitness center. Wish the staff could have accommodated a cheaper second room for us (when my first night with my snoring mom was a trial :)); it was a bit of a bummer to be told I needed to pay max rates when the hotel still had 15% capacity left and I’d already paid for another room… but that’s the way it goes during peak season, I guess! Otherwise, great stay."
