Albert 1'er Hotel Nice, France
"amazing staff clean rooms love that they had a shower i could use before my room was ready"
Mercure Nice Promenade Des Anglais
"Amazing hotel in an incredible location (Promenade Anglais, directly in front of the water) with reasonable rates. We stayed in a room that had a garden view and partial water view, which was well worth it. The interior was clean, modern, and spacious (for Europe) with great AC. The best part, however, are the staff. Dorothee in particular offers outstanding local recommendations for bars, beaches, and restaurants. She is the best! Adrian is also very kind and helpful—he will call local places for you if your French is rudimentary. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to our next visit!"
Hôtel La Villa Nice Victor Hugo
"A generally well kept boutique hotel that does the basics well. Room was spacious and clean. We were happy with the location as it was only about a 10 minute walk to the beach promenade and close to transportation and restaurants while still feeling like we were away from tourist crowd. Air con works very well while breakfast was ok but overpriced. You don't really have much to do with staff. Would stay here again."
Fairmont Monte Carlo
"Simply the best"
Le Meridien Nice
"Central location, big modern hotel. A staff member explicitly told us the pool closed at 1030 and when I brought my kid to swim we were told quite rudely that the pool closed at 6. The rooftop becomes a bar and restaurant after 6 and that is open until 1030. Just miscommunications but not handled with warmth or apologetically. Meanwhile, the sea was too rough to swim in (so it was not a substitute for the pool at that moment) and the rude staff in fact denied that the red flag meant that the lifeguards deemed it unsafe to swim. It was so bizarre and I felt like the focus of this hotel was not guests but perhaps the bar clientele? Sad because I wanted to love it."
Columbus Hotel Monte-Carlo, Curio Collection by Hilton
"This is my second stay at the Columbus Monte Carlo and I continue to be impressed by the standard of the rooms but most of all by the quality of service from all staff. As a solo traveller it is important for me to feel comfortable about asking for help and the Columbus staff are so welcoming, kind and approachable that nothing is ever too much. They were extremely busy as this was during the Vuelta (cycling event) departing from Monaco but standards never dropped. A particular thank you to Hosni who did my check in with a great smile and attention to detail. Another big thank you to Andrea who for the second time went the extra mile when I asked to purchase the bathrobe which was so comfortable I didn't want to part with it! All in all I was again so impressed that I rebooked for a week in October."
Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo
