Learn more about Tryon
Equestrian culture gallops through this Blue Ridge Mountain town, where the world-class Tryon International Equestrian Center hosts events that draw riders from across the globe. Trade Street reveals a surprising arts scene with galleries showcasing local talent and boutiques selling handcrafted treasures. Pay respects at Nina Simone Plaza, honoring the legendary musician born in this small community. After exploring the Tryon Watershed's peaceful trails, sample vintages at Overmountain or Mountain Brook vineyards. The affluent atmosphere belies the town's approachable charm, where farm-to-table restaurants serve dishes worthy of much larger cities. For the best introduction to local culture, time a visit during one of the equestrian competitions when the town truly comes alive.

The Lodge at Flat Rock
"Our room was very clean, however there were repairs made that were less than professional."
Quality Inn & Suites Hendersonville - Flat Rock
"Wi-Fi took several attempts before it would connect, and had to reconnect several times, this was for the basic service, I asked for a "quiet" room, the room I was given was next to the gas station, there was loud traffice noises all night, and the new heating/ac unit was also very loud, did not get much sleep, this was my third stay over the past several months, and this was the first time I was not satisfied with my stay, it is convenient if you are traveling, its is right off the interstate, and there is a cracker barrel next to the hotel that is within walking distance"
Mountain Inn & Suites
"Excellent experience. Clean. Courteous staff."
The Charleston Inn
"The location is great with access to the Main Street district. Everything is walkable. The bed and room were comfortable. Old, but clean. It is inn from the 1880s after all. I found the multiple access codes to be off-putting (front door, room). and then a key works, but then I didn’t get a key for other things. It gets a bit tedious. There is very little front desk support. It is closed most of the time. You have to call a number for assistance. There is ample free parking, but at first it is not clear where you can park. I would stay here again, but you need to be aware of the nuances. The proximity to the Main Street district is what makes it invaluable. There are only a couple of places to stay that have this location."
CedarWood Inn
