I LOVE Hudson!!! Beautiful and charming old houses and buildings; small, interesting, independently owned shops; a surprising number of art galleries, a variety of good restaurants and a train station on the line that goes to NYC in under 2 hours.

Hudson is a little town. Nice and relaxing. Most shops are walkable. Hudson does not have a lot of interesting things but it was a quaint and nice little getaway.

Don't expect to find restaurants open later in the evening, especially if you're there before the weekend rush.

I was only there overnight. I saw a show, Noah Guthrie and Charlotte Morris, at the historic Park Theater. They were both great!

Hudson seems to have gotten a bit more hipster since my last visit. It definitely has its own vibe.

Hard to get a decent diner For breakfast A lot of average new cafes
"What I like about the property that is was a beautiful area to recharge and refresh your mind, getting away from the city side was soo peaceful I would recommend going back again. The thing I don’t like the cabin that I was staying the stovetop wasn’t working to it’s full potential but it worked for the time being overall my experience was amazing. "
"The Nest Hudson is a gem with great amenities and very comfortable bedding. We are riding our bicycles up the state and over to Buffalo, and this place was an oasis that helped us recharge and prep for the next leg of our journey. Food tips: Feast and Floret for an excellent meal and WYLDE Hudson for a morning cafe, both within a short walk. "
"Hotel is clean and well kept. Nice looking lobby. Clean rooms and the bed was very comfortable with ample pillows. I like that the thermostat was adjustable. Breakfast was included 7-10am with scramble eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, make your own waffles, dry cereal, instant oatmeal, juices, coffee, yogurt. Would definitely stay here again. Very close to highway."
"We love the Red Lion. And had two excellent meals around our trips to Tanglewood concerts. We stayed at the Stevens house room 184. Sunny, sweet, fridge downstairs was helpful to store picnic items/wine. But the bed is soft and the bathtub was plastic insert which was unexpected for the cost per night, but more so the smell of mildew. "
