I was looking for a weekend get-away and this location was perfect. It is in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Beautiful views and very peaceful. Holiday House includes a small fridge, microwave, and stove.
The photos on Expedia are outdated. This place had new paint on the outside of building, updated and the rooms and carpet looked like they remodeled it. So it didn’t look as outdated as the photos! Looked better! Parking lot is huge, the area is quiet. Walkable to the beach and loved all the locals and neighborhoods we walked through to get there. Community is safe. The staff was kind!
The room was cute. The bed was super comfortable which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were great, extremely helpful and very nice. The provide free coffee and a small breakfast in the lobby every morning. Half a block from the beach. Very nice! Would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I stayed here at the recommendation of a friend. The occasion was our 25th wedding anniversary. The inn was delightful. We've stayed in many B&Bs - never have I felt I was somewhere where there was greater attention to detail. It is simply among the best of the best.
Property is in walking distance of the boardwalk and the pier. Our bedroom was clean and spacious. Only thing that we didn’t like was the sitting area in our room. The bedrooms were spacious but the sitting area was tight.
Nice old school motel where you still drive your car up to the door of the room. They've updated the rooms and they're very nice, especially the shower. Stayed here several times and it's always been nice.
Excellent location - very central. Quiet, clean rooms. Tasty and varied breakfast until 10 AM each morning. Kind and accomodating front desk personnel. Purified water station on the first floor. Coffee and hot water for tea available all day and night. We always stay at this Hampton Inn.
This was our second time staying here and loved it! We were able to get the same room both times over looking the river. Great location to downtown and the boardwalk. Would recommend this gem to anyone looking to stay in Santa Cruz. Very friendly and helpful staff!
Perfect place to stay! Room #1 on ground floor with perfect view of front porch and ocean! Cookies, coffee cake, wine and cheese in the afternoon and a beautiful breakfast spread each morning!! This bed and breakfast is wonderful!! Flew in from San Jose airport and 30 minute drive around beautiful mountains and pines. Take the Beach train to Roaring Camp. Drive to Walton light house on a few minutes away. Wonderful boardwalk and wharf!!
Santa Cruz is notorious for dirty expensive hotels. This one is a little closer to the freeway vs the boardwalk but it was very nice and clean, with a really nice breakfast buffet. It's worth taking a Lyft or Uber to Pacific Ave or the Boardwalk area to stay in this hotel. I will be coming back.
Everything was great and the room had features that I can really appreciate. For instance, a sink in the bathroom and outside the bathroom door. Even something as thoughtful as having a card dropbox by the door next to the parking The only downside was the mattress. Both nights I woke up with my lower back and hips aching.
