South Redondo
South Redondo offers the perfect coastal getaway with its beautiful Esplanade oceanfront walkway and hidden rocky coves. Travelers can explore tide pools teeming with marine life, stroll along quiet beaches, or catch breathtaking Pacific sunsets. The neighborhood's charm lies in its relaxed atmosphere, where beach cottages line residential streets far from tourist crowds. Seafood restaurants and casual cafes dot the area, with outdoor patios perfect for enjoying ocean views. Most visitors stay in vacation rentals or boutique bed-and-breakfasts in converted beach cottages. The neighborhood is best explored on foot along the Esplanade, though a car is recommended for venturing beyond the immediate area.

North Redondo
North Redondo offers a laid-back slice of authentic Southern California living away from tourist crowds. Tree-lined streets with mid-century ranch homes create a peaceful residential vibe where local families go about their daily routines. The neighborhood has small community parks perfect for morning jogs or watching kids play, while still being just a short drive from gorgeous beaches. Budget-friendly restaurants tucked into strip malls serve everything from pizza to diverse ethnic cuisine without the beachfront prices. Most visitors choose vacation rentals in single-family homes rather than hotels, enjoying ample street parking and quiet evenings. A car is recommended for exploring the broader South Bay region from this comfortable home base.

Riviera Village
Riviera Village brings beachy vibes and local flair just blocks from the Pacific Ocean in Redondo Beach. Tree-lined Catalina Avenue buzzes with independent boutiques, art galleries, and sidewalk cafes where ocean breezes keep things cool. Beach lovers can easily stroll to Torrance Beach or Redondo Beach State Park for swimming, volleyball, or sunset watching. The weekend farmers markets transform the main strip into a lively community hangout spot. Dining options range from casual fish tacos to upscale wine bars, with fresh seafood taking center stage. Most accommodations are vacation rentals and boutique inns rather than large hotels. Getting around is a breeze with high walkability, bike-friendly streets, and ample parking for exploring this charming coastal gem.

Loews Hollywood Hotel
"Hotel was fine but the surrounding area was loud and filthy. Hotel has an odd layout to parking garage. People at front desk weren’t friendly."
Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City
"Super convenient access to universal studios. Pool was a little on the small size."
The Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites, Los Angeles
"Some of the best interior design I’ve ever seen. Clean, elegant, and proper. I recommend anyone traveling to Los Angeles, whether it’s for business or pleasure, stay at this hotel."
Sonesta Los Angeles Airport LAX
"This property was very clean, welcoming, has great restaurants in the lobby and an awesome location for walking. The hotel has free airport shuttle serviceI to and from that runs every 20 minutes. I would definitely stay here again."
Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Century Boulevard
"Clean and relatively comfortable. Our room had the sink outside the bathroom, which some people might not like — not sure if it’s like that for other rooms. The lighting was not my favorite — hard to explain, but very fluorescent and both too bright and not bright enough at the same time. Room was very large, which was nice. Shuttle to LAX in the morning took forever, so that part wasn’t great. Staff were super friendly and professional. Hotel was serviceable and I’d stay again, but it’s not at the top of my list."
Holiday Inn Los Angeles - LAX Airport by IHG
"Super clean and everyone was very helpful"
E-Central Downtown Los Angeles Hotel
"Little price"
