We spent our 29th Anniversary here. We had an upgraded room with a balcony. It was absolutely amazing. Convenient to the beach, convenient to other sights in the Cape Elizabeth area and Portland, Maine. The staff was fantastic from front door staff, wait staff, room cleaners to the managers. They are over the top helpful. Definitely a return visit in the future.
Excellent, independently owned mini-suite hotel just outside of Portland Maine. Centrally located and easy to navigate to downtown or any destination nearby. Rated 2 stars but acts like it’s 4 stars. 5 stars for the quality people. Rooms are well laid out for 2 people, VERY pet friendly, and everything looked snd worked like new.
Couple downsides or things you at least should be aware of: only one elevator, small but functional gym, no restaurant or breakfast room, no pool, and not much in...
We took the hotel shuttle from the airport and could walk everywhere in the old port area. Upgraded breakfast was quite good, with fresh and hot options daily. Just make sure to check your bill when you leave... Breakfast was included in our Expedia booking, but they charged us for it half of our stay.
This property is beautiful. It sits in the historic area of the old port. It is very close to the waterfront, restaurants, shops and historic areas. The mattress and sheets were superb. While in the old port, we took a trolley tour which took us out to Portland headlight and then gave us a tour of of the old port. You can catch fairies from about two or three minutes walk away, we would strongly recommend this hotel.
Absolutely the best ! Doing business in Portland and tried a few 3-4 different hotels. By far Casco Bay has been the best. Staff phenomenal! Never arrived without greeting and ask if we needed anything. Room comfortable with large bathroom and shower. Breakfast was way more than expected. Bread , pastry , eggs, meat , waffles. All hot and great. This will be my place in Portland from now on. Thanks to the entire staff. Great experience. 20 out of 10 :)
Beautiful apartment, perfect size, and just a really easy place to stay. Well designed & comfortable. The staff made the biggest difference though. Super responsive, genuinely warm, and they held my bags before check-in and after check-out, making my stay so much easier. Would stay again in a heartbeat and definitely recommend.
The room, lobby, and breakfast area were all very clean and quiet. The location is very convenient to access the downtown area, if you have a vehicle. The staff members were very friendly and helpful.
Would stay here again for sure!
Specifically, staff looked at guests and smiled, a real smile as if they were glad we were there. Just after my spouse mentioned the pleasantness of staff, a staff member rolling an empty luggage cart said a happy, "Good morning to you" as he rolled by. Breakfast staff were equally attentive and aware. Good training and good culture.
Also, the coffee was surprisingly good, and very hot.
Thank you!
The property was pretty clean. The staff was kind and attentive. The hot tub and bistro were closed. We chose the Courtyard for the bistro so that stinks.
Monica at the front desk was fantastic! She helped with many questions we had and really seemed to go above and beyond in makikg sure we had a good stay. I observed her doing similar with other guests. Hotel was very clean and had a new feel to it. Airport shuttle was very convenient and efficient.
The hotel was great and within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. The only downside was the parking garage. I recommend the parking garage beside the hotel. The spaces were a lot wider and we never had an issue finding a space.
This hotel is in the perfect location to walk to everything around the waterfront. I had a really late check in because of a delayed flight and the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portland!
very friendly staff. Room was clean, comfortable and big.
Valet was expensive ($40/night)
I think the valet may have caused a small dent in the drive car door (brand new car, 5 miles on it)
Great location. Easy access for day trips up the coast, Boston etc. Boys loved the pool. Staff was responsive and took care of minor requests timely. Breakfast crew was outstanding and really made us feel appreciated for staying on property.
