Learn more about St. Johnsbury
Victorian curiosities await at the Fairbanks Museum, where the planetarium offers celestial escapes from small-town life. The St. Johnsbury Athenaeum combines art gallery and library in a building that feels delightfully frozen in time. Dog Mountain presents a uniquely Vermont experience – an art gallery and chapel dedicated entirely to man's best friend. The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail cuts through landscapes so perfectly pastoral you'll wonder if they were arranged for your benefit. Maple Grove Farms offers tours where the process of turning tree sap into liquid gold seems like alchemy. Kingdom Trails provides mountain biking that attracts enthusiasts from across the Northeast, though locals still act surprised when you've heard of their little corner of Vermont.

Thayers Inn
"Thayer's Inn is delightful both in it's history and its staff. Cautionary note; there are no elevators and considering it's age, things like thresholds, floors, doors etc are challenging for older people to maneuver. History vs modernity. Awareness of such conditions will be helpful when booking. Yet with all that said, we were very pleased with our stay."
The Wayside Inn
"Loved the property. It's a charming special place with incredible character. Rooms clean and the location is perfect. Beautiful little stream behind the property where you can enjoy your morning coffee or a drink later in the day. I highly recommend staying there ."
Gale River House - Boutique Hotel

Fairbanks Inn
"Decent hotel for the price point. Would stay again."
Cabot Inn & Suites
"It is a little bit outdated, but we got a suite and it was very reasonably priced. It was also very close to Santa’s village!"
Stonybrook Motel & Lodge
"A little dated but still lovely"
The Chandler Inn Bethlehem - Littleton, an Ascend Collection Hotel
"Very nice,cool & clean"
The Barron Brook Inn
"The inn was well maintained while the overall esthetic allowed you to step back in time. We had a campfire at night with, marshmellows and actual room keys. The owner was always on sight and very helpful. Its a nice cozy stay."
Eastgate Inn
"Clean room. Quiet and safe area."
