Learn more about East Glacier Park

Tiny East Glacier Park serves as the eastern gateway to nature's masterpiece, where mountains seem carved by artistic giants. The historic Glacier Park Lodge welcomes visitors with massive Douglas fir columns that dwarf even the tallest travelers. Grab breakfast at the Two Medicine Grill before heading into Glacier National Park, where the Going-to-the-Sun Road delivers gasp-inducing views. Hikers find paradise on trails to St. Mary Falls, while wildlife spotters might glimpse mountain goats defying gravity on impossible slopes. After adventure, gather at Serrano's Mexican Restaurant, where margaritas somehow taste better at this elevation. Nearby, the Museum of the Plains Indian in Browning offers cultural context that enriches every mountain vista.

West Glacier Cabin Village

"Clean and friendly place. Good location. Kitchen was sparsely supplied but otherwise very nice. Mattress was good but likely needs to be replaced. I would stay there again."

"We were running late so I called and got ahold of Mark the owner. He had been very helpful when planning our trip to the Going to the Sun Road and was also very helpful when we got there later than planned. Although the outside of this motel shows a little age, the inside was very nice and very clean. Mark has done a great job remodeling and he was very helpful when we got there with suggestions on what to see."

"The cabin is cozy and had 2 full beds and a single bed, sleeping 4-5 adults comfortably. It had a great outdoor area to hangout and soak up the sun. It is also located walking distance from a convenience store and restaurants. (Less than 2 min)."

Many Glacier Hotel - Inside the Park

Many Glacier Hotel - Inside the Park

8/10 Good
"Stayed here for 2 nights in July with family. Positives: Gorgeous setting. Swiss-like esthetics. Loved that you could walk to the trails and not worry about finding parking before beginning our hike(s). Ate at the lounge restaurant and it was very good. Also thrilled to have a coffee shop, snack shop available. If able to, go to dinner one night at the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn restaurant (just a couple minutes away driving) then walk down to Fishcap Lake (nicknamed Moose Lake). It’s about a 5-10 min easy walk. We visited this lake 3 times and saw moose 2 of those times. When visiting after dinner around 7, it was like the animals were paid actors. Deer all around, birds, beaver swimming, and a huge, bull moose. One of the highlights of the trip! Negatives: a small hike is necessary to get to the parking lot. There is not dedicated guest parking, so during the day the lot fills fast due to others not staying at Many Glacier wanting to use the easily accessible trails. During the day, it is hard to find parking. It was not a problem when we left for dinner and returned in the evening. Our room had a balcony but the bench and floorboards were covered in bird poop so not really usable. Shower was tiny and room definitely was warm for sleeping with no AC (but expected—it is July at a national park lodge, afterall)"
