Cute boutique roadside motel from the bygone era. Greg has upgraded and maintained the motel so nicely. Extra touches in the room like a personalized welcome note and a chocolate treat are an extra touch that make you feel like your business is appreciated. Greg personally walks you to your room to make sure you are happy with your selection. The room is quite large and for the hotel being near the road, it was very quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the linens and towels were...
Couldn't ask for more. The staff were extremely friendly and generous. The room was beautiful -- not overly luxurious, but full of character and with an extremely comfortable bed. One fixture on the bathroom sink was broken, and the TV was on the small side, but I would hardly call these complaints given how nice the overall experience was. And to top it off, the breakfast was amazing -- both the quality of the food and the service. We would definitely stay at the Captain Farris again.
We went to the free bird when we weren’t able to go camping because of rain. We were skeptical.. but we were very pleasantly surprised! The pool area was gorgeous the room was very clean and new. The service was quick when we needed new towels. Overall GREAT experience. If we are in the area again would def go back. They also set the room up with balloons and cupcakes for my birthday so sweeet!
We stayed for 3 nights. We visited Cape Cod National Seashore on our arrival day. The next day we took a roundtrip ferry ride to Nantucket. The day after, a round-trip ferry ride to Martha's vineyard. Breakfast was included. We had a room on the 2nd floor which was nice and quiet.
When not taking advantage of the quick walk to the beach, it was nice to have a pool specific to this property. The pool was clean and cool!
Staff was super friendly, quick and helpful. The breakfast was quite good as well. No need to seek out other breakfast spots.
The sliding glass door to the room was broken and the room was on the ground floor. I was charged a parking fee of $25.00 a night. I find this unreasonable for a $500.00 a night room.
The staff was great. We were greeted by John who immediately gave our dog a treat and showed us to our room. The facilities were beautiful and the staff was exceptional. Kevin at the bar was always willing to help and go the extra mile to make everyone happy. This is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at.
The staff here was so fabulous. From the wait staff always smiling and friendly, the room being perfect when we came home from busy days, and the front desk staff being informative and friendly about everything we needed. I lost my wedding ring in the room and was in a panic. They called within 24 hours to say it had been found and will be mailing it to me.
The location was great too. Right on the beach and centrally located to all we wanted to do. We drove out 28 to Provincetown, up to...
This was the most beautiful little getaway for my family!!!! We only stayed two nights but it was exactly what we wished for and more! The beach was beautiful and clean! We stayed for Fourth of July and there were fireworks right on the beach! ALL the staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back. This place is a new family favorite!
Easy check in.room was clean.pool was warm.hot tub/jacuzzi was relaxing.also there is a sauna.breakfast area was clean and had a variety of choices for food and drinks.plenty of storage for clothes in room.problems with room, missing handle on dresser.line to hang wet clothes in shower was broken.also volume of tv was low even at max.
Beautiful property , our room was perfect for 2 grandmas , new mom and baby , loft room spacious with plenty of room for privacy if needed. The front desk ( Kimoy ) very helpful and friendly , before we checked out he helped us book our next stay!! A very happy group of ladies!
The location is everything as it is 1 street over from main street. The room was a nice size with 2 double beds and was clean with a large private balcony overlooking the street. The room had a mini fridge, a TV with limited cable, a telephone, great air conditioning and lighting. The bathroom was small with a very small and low toilet, low water pressure and a very small shower head, but the water temperature was good. Also limited counter space. The beds were very uncomfortable , uneven And...
My first time there. Would definitely come back again. Everyone was very nice. Lovely beach that's nice to walk or to sit by in the evening in the chairs.
My ONLY complaint is the parking. They charged me an additional $50/night for parking. I hate when places pull this type of stunt. I'm already paying nearly $900/night to stay there and at check-in they do this. NOT COOL!!!
You know it when you stay at a place the owner loves and cares for — the Doryman is that kind of place. It’s not a new facility — newness they cannot provide. But the owner and staff clearly care about the property and their guests. If you appreciate old-fashioned hospitality, stay here.
