Learn more about Alameda
Across the bay from San Francisco, this island city offers a refreshing escape with its small-town atmosphere and spectacular skyline views. Pedal along the waterfront path at Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach to enjoy the famous panorama. The USS Hornet Museum, a decommissioned aircraft carrier, houses naval history and Apollo mission recovery artifacts. Fairmont San Francisco
"Go see Tom Wolfe at the concierge desk! He makes miracles happen. My family of 5 was looking for same day Alcatraz Tour tickets as they were all sold out online. Tom made one phone call and had them in hand within 30 mins. A stellar example of the top notch service you'll experience at the Fairmont. The rooms were huge, clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. The hotel itself is grand, unique, rich with history, well located, and beautiful. We'll certainly be staying again for our next trip to San Francisco."
Hotel Julian
"Angel at the front desk was very friendly and hospitable. The bartender Michael was very talented. The group of us had a lovely night."
Club Quarters Hotel in San Francisco
"Small but clean and adequate for an overnight stay. Would’ve liked a refrigerator in the room. Tv streaming kept cutting out and the water bottle refill station had a tiny stream and took 10 minutes to fill a water bottle. But those were minor inconveniences. Clean and great location."
The Pickwick Hotel
"The staff was extremely pleasant. Checking in was very easy. Room was clean and good for a short stay if you have business in the area. There’s plenty of stores and food within walking distance."
Holiday Inn Golden Gateway by IHG
"Great staff. Paid parking. Paid breakfast. Not worth paying extra for a better view. Walking distance to the Cable Car, great food and shopping and the Bay."
Handlery Union Square Hotel
"Lovely hotel and helpful staff. We stayed in the ‘Premier’ area of the hotel, and whilst the lift and corridors look a little tired on this side of the hotel, our room itself was lovely. Very spacious and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great little pool and gym area. There’s a bar area at the back of the hotel which didn’t seem to be in use, which is a shame as it looked lovely, and a perfect place to unwind with a cold drink at the end of a long day exploring this gorgeous city. Would definitely recommend"
Chancellor Hotel on Union Square
"If I could give the staff 10 stars, I would. They all did little things to make our stay special. The location was great and the room was a good value. We would stay here again!"
Hilton San Francisco Union Square
"Front staff who assisted check-in was quite helpful with niche situation. He was kind, and performed his job above and beyond. Mattress in my room seemed brand new and all the sheets were clean. There was everything provided you would need other than a sewing kit or toothbrush & showercap but honestly, i didnt need those."
Crowne Plaza San Francisco Airport by IHG
"NOt able to swich water in shower from down level to shower"
