"The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Check in was great. Water pressure was just ok. Our toilet really didn’t flush well and the tv would not work. In the end not a deal breaker. We were tired and just went to bed early. It was quiet and the room was clean and comfortable."

"The room was clean and smelled clean. The breakfast was good. The only complaint I could give was that I didn’t care for the cheese used in the omelet. (But I am from Wisconsin, the land of good cheeses.) Before our stay I read reviews that the elevator was not working. It was in working order for our stay, but we mostly used the stairs which were wide and carpeted unlike many sketchy hotel stairwells. A very nice hotel, with friendly and helpful staff, would stay again."

"Very simple hotel-no amenities to speak of (except breakfast which we didn’t go down for because we had other plans) but the room was clean and simple-the air conditioner was nice and cold and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The property could use some upgrades but our room was very quiet."

"Property was very clean and beautifully decorated in a farmhouse style. Very cozy and comfortable! Came stocked with everything you would need. We had fun at nearby Aikman Wildlife Adventure in Arcola, Kayaking in Lake Charleston, hiking in Fox Ridge State Park a visit to Amish country in Arthur, IL. The kitchen, living and dining room were very spacious! The bathroom was very tiny so if staying with 4 adults - be prepared for this. Also there was a strange odor right outside the front entry and on the front porch. Maybe an animal urinated there. Owner may consider spraying urine odor control and planting things like lavender and rosemary to ward off animals from the property."
