Learn more about Ajo
Beneath the vast Arizona sky, Ajo's Spanish Colonial plaza serves as the heart of this desert community. The town's walls tell stories through vibrant murals painted by local artists. Take a morning to explore Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, where saguaros stand like silent sentinels against rust-colored mountains. Gibson Neighborhood Park offers a shady respite when the desert sun demands a break. Locals gather at the Ajo Country Club and Golf Course, a surprisingly green oasis amid the arid landscape. For wildlife enthusiasts, Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge rewards patient visitors with glimpses of desert-adapted creatures. After sunset, the star-filled sky puts on a show that no city dweller can imagine without seeing it firsthand.

"Felt like a piece of Sedona! Beautifully decorated rooms and had extra amenities including local coffee bag enough to make 2 cups of delicious coffee. A very quiet and relaxing atmosphere with various sitting options outdoors with fire pits and available firewood, and walking path. The gift shop has many gift items and free coffee as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We plan to stay there next time we are in town."

"Wonderful place to land for a few days! Linda, the manager, was so sweet and accommodating. It truly felt like a “home away from home”. Met some awesome people while there. Ajo is truly a magical place!"
