East Village
East Village offers a relaxed escape from Cambria's tourist hotspots with charming historic homes tucked among Monterey pines. Art lovers can explore the Cambria Center for the Arts while nature enthusiasts should head to nearby Fiscalini Ranch Preserve for stunning coastal trails. This quiet residential area gives you a genuine taste of local Cambria life without the crowds. Dining options are limited to a few cozy cafes serving comfort food that typically close early evening. Most visitors stay in vacation rentals or small B&Bs that blend into the neighborhood's residential character. A car is essential for exploring, as East Village has minimal public transit but plenty of street parking.

Park Hill
Park Hill in Cambria invites you to slip into nature's embrace among towering Monterey pines. Winding trails at Fiscalini Ranch Preserve lead to breathtaking coastal views where you might spot migrating whales. After a day exploring Santa Rosa Creek Nature Preserve or Moonstone Beach Park, your peaceful forest retreat awaits. Cozy vacation rentals and charming B&Bs nestled in the trees offer a genuine local experience away from tourist crowds. Though dining requires a quick 5-minute drive to Cambria's village center, the trade-off is blissful tranquility and star-filled nights among the pines.

Marine Terrace
Marine Terrace offers a serene slice of California coastal living away from tourist crowds. Walking paths wind through mature Monterey pines, while nearby Fiscalini Ranch Preserve and Cambria State Marine Park provide gorgeous natural escapes. This peaceful residential neighborhood gives you room to breathe with its quiet streets and glimpses of ocean through the trees. Dining requires a quick 5-10 minute drive to Cambria village, where coastal cuisine awaits. Cozy vacation cottages with fireplaces and garden spaces make perfect home bases. A car is essential for exploring this charming area, as public transit is limited in this authentically local hideaway.

Pine Knolls Estates
Pine Knolls Estates offers a serene forest retreat away from Cambria's tourist bustle. Towering Monterey pines surround charming homes with natural wood siding, creating a peaceful atmosphere perfect for nature lovers. While the neighborhood itself has no attractions, you're just a short drive from Fiscalini Ranch Preserve, Moonstone Beach, and Cambria's arts scene. Learn more about Cambria
Moonstone Beach beckons with its treasure hunt of sea glass and offshore otters performing just for you. Nearby Hearst Castle showcases newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst's extravagant vision, a palace worthy of European royalty. Fiscalini Ranch Preserve's clifftop trails offer views that explain why artists have flocked here for generations. Nitt Witt Ridge's quirky folk art provides the perfect counterpoint to Hearst's opulence. Downtown wooden boardwalks connect galleries and restaurants in historic buildings where locals debate the best olallieberry pie spot. The Monterey pines, forming one of only three such native forests worldwide, stand sentinel over this artistic enclave.

Bluebird Inn
"Just like the town, quaint, quiet and homey."
FogCatcher Inn
"I got upgraded to the suite since I booked through Hotels.com wanting a room with ocean view. Once I arrived, staff told me I was left with only the available suite room. It worked out since it was too foggy to even see the ocean. Very clean & spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. The building was built decades ago so you see some evidence like the windows and the bathroom ventilation fan was irritating loud with a broken sound. But most has been updated. Plus side was the hot tub and the fireplace that turns on with a flick of a switch. Also beautiful landscaping and beach is right across the road. Definitely will come back. Just make sure to arrive not too late. It’s a small beach town. Very few restaurants and grocery stores stay open late past 8:30pm. The Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill which is only restaurant in walking distance has a long wait time to get seated and does not allow takeout. The food is just okay."
Pelican Inn & Suites
"The one thing that guests should be aware of is that housekeeping only cleans your room if requested the night before."
El Colibri Hotel & Spa
"Staff was very accommodating she catered to all our needs, very clean room, We enjoyed the steam room, as well."
Moonstone Landing
"I have stayed in a lot of hotel rooms across the country this last year and I'm always disappointed by the beds, but not here! The room was so clean, there were no dust bunnies or loose hair anywhere to be seen. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets and linens were the perfect weight and comfort. I especially liked the small touches of the front desk offering local baked goods, both evening and morning, as a complementary part of our stay. I would return to this hotel anytime and I would highly recommend it to my family and friends."
Blue Dolphin Inn
"What a gem! Everything about this place was so fantastic! Comfy beds, clean rooms and DELICIOUS breakfast!! Would definitely stay here again!"
Sand Pebbles Inn
"The best location beach front. Sitting outdoors, the room was beautifully decorated & had all the amenities needed, and the breakfast options were great. Nice boardwalk right out front along the entire length of the beach & totally recommend Moonstone beach cafe for dinner with really nice ocean views"
