Learn more about Harpers Ferry
At the confluence of two mighty rivers, history and nature collide in this living museum where John Brown's famous raid ignited Civil War tensions. The Lower Town's preserved buildings transport visitors to another era, while John Brown's Fort stands as the state's most visited landmark. Hike a segment of the Appalachian Trail (whose headquarters and midpoint are nearby) or admire panoramic views from Jefferson Rock. The Shenandoah River beckons adventure-seekers for rafting expeditions. After exploring Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, browse quaint shops housed in meticulously restored structures. For an educational twist, visit the John Brown Wax Museum or wander to Bolivar Heights Scenic Overlook where three states converge in one spectacular vista.

TRU By Hilton Winchester
"The mattress was excellent. I woke up refreshed without a back ache which I came in with due to the long car ride. My room was quiet, and clean. My only complaint is wondering why there is such a strong smell of air deodorizer throughout the hotel. It hits you as you walk in the lobby. The smell lingered on my clothes and inside my suitcases through the next day. I prefer fresh air, not artificial air freshener scents. I don’t believe they are healthy."

Clarion Inn Harpers Ferry - Charles Town
"The cable television was pretty lame, no movie channels. There was a constant dripping with the air conditioning and it was a little musty smelling."
Best Western Historic Frederick
"Comfortable beds. Nice breakfast. Pleasant helpful staff. Great location."
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Hagerstown
"The property and room were very clean and it is convenient on/off freeway."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Winchester
"The bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was very clean."
Comfort Inn Frederick - Ballenger Creek
"1. It was a great value compared to other hotels in the area 2. The rooms could use updating 3. The breakfast was not great. The eggs and sausage were not good, but there are other options, so all in all, breakfast was okay at best."
Salamander Resort And Spa
"We love the salamander but the facilities are getting a bit worn down."
