Learn more about Kiawah Island

Forget the mainland - here's a barrier island where golf courses and pristine beaches compete for your attention. The Ocean Course offers dramatic Atlantic views that might distract from your swing. Pedal along 10 miles of beach while scanning for loggerhead turtles nesting in the sand or bottlenose dolphins playing offshore. Osprey Point and Turtle Point golf courses provide additional challenges among maritime forests. When the clubs are stored away, Freshfields Village offers shopping and dining without leaving the island. The population swells from 2,000 to 10,000 during peak season, yet somehow the beaches never feel crowded. Rent bikes for the family - the flat terrain makes exploration effortless even for reluctant cyclists.

10/10 Excellent
"The property was absolutely amazing….the staff was incredible. The food was outstanding. The only thing to note that if you stay in a Villa on the grounds versus at the hotel/sanctuary, you don’t have access to the best pool on the beach and you have to pay for beach chairs- $20 a chair. But even given that, we cannot wait to go back. Perfect for families!"
