"My family and I have stayed here on several occasions, often for a week or so at a time. They have definitely improved from cleanliness and overall hospitality compared to the last time we stayed (around 2023). The rooms could still be a bit cleaner (there was still dirt, hair on the floors that got picked up by our socks; the showers could be cleaner and the shower curtains definitely need to be updated/replaced as ours was torn. Also, this place caters to animals, so you will be around a lot of people with dogs. This doesn't bother us, but it might to those who suffer from allergies or are particular to the smell of dog in general down the hallway. However, the amenities it provides outweigh those things (for us); we have younger kids, so we need a kitchenette for picky eaters (we don't like to eat out all the time), and a separate room for mom/dad and kids; and this is perfect. Our kids like the pool and the outdoor setting is just so much nicer than many other places in Tallahassee. Also having a decent breakfast (not perfect, but better than basic continental) and some nights for extra food (not perfect, but it's included), is great for us."

"A great old hotel. Very comfortable, spacious room. Quiet, and such a pleasant atmosphere. We stayed two nights and we're sorry to leave. How can you beat staying in a state park lodge? A very good dining room with excellent food and very attentive staff. If you haven't seen or been in the spring, you are really missing something - delightful!"

"The Staff from start to finish were wonderful! Very helpful, accommodating and friendly! The hotel was clean as a whistle! The little touches like the fresh smell all throughout the inside was nice! The bed was super comfortable, the blackout curtains were a great touch and the modern feel was different and fun! The pool was well kept, they blow off the sidewalks every morning, and breakfast was yummy! I would highly recommend staying here and we will be back!"
