"We stayed for one night at this property, and we enjoyed it very much. It’s a lovely property, which I understand was recently renovated. The lobby and rooms have a charming retro style that adds lots of character. Our room was spotless, and roomy. Parking couldn’t be any more convenient right outside of our room. The chimney added a perfect touch, so be sure to purchase a chimney kit from the lobby. The heater is pretty loud, but we were still able to sleep throughout. However, what stood out was the service. The attentiveness we received from Jordan was phenomenal! He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. He even kindly offered to take the fire wood to our room and start it! Who does that anymore? Huge shoutout to him for his hard work and dedication. They are very lucky to have him! Give him a raise! We will definitely stay here again when visiting Big Bear. It is also a short drive to the Village, which was very convenient"

"Great location right on the water but the property is very old and dirty. Wifi not good either. Front desk people were nice and friendly, housekeeping were quick to drop off supplies. I'm willing to pay more if they cleaned and upgraded this place. "

"Lovely setting and hotel beautiful but needing attention to some areas. Staff not that helpful except for in the bar and restaurant where they were very nice. Bedroom well appointed but had to make up sofa bed ourselves which was a surprise for an expensive hotel. Outdoor pool lovely, indoor spa facilities limited. Gym ok."

"It was very unprofessional the way the charged me 400+ dollars for damages to the room when everything was there. Nothing missing or physically damaged. Every item was accounted for. Just because I was sick and vomited in the trash can and left a small, mind you I was very sick, cleanable mess, which is there job to clean and sanitize, to ask these prices to replace items that are all accounted for and still in a cleanable condition"
