Top neighborhoods in Flushing

Flushing Chinatown

Step into New York's other Chinatown where authentic eats and bustling markets create a sensory wonderland in the heart of Queens. Flushing's sidewalks buzz with shoppers navigating between bubble tea stands and dim sum restaurants. The sprawling New World Mall food court serves up regional specialties while Golden Shopping Mall's narrow corridors hide culinary treasures. Transit couldn't be easier with the 7 train terminus connecting directly to Manhattan. Foodies can explore everything from Sichuan hotpot to Cantonese dim sum without breaking the bank. Nearby Flushing Meadows Corona Park offers a peaceful escape when you need a break from the neighborhood's delicious sensory overload.

Downtown Flushing

Downtown Flushing buzzes with authentic Asian energy as one of the largest Chinese communities outside Asia. Chinese language signs, traditional customs, and vibrant food courts transport you into an immersive cultural experience. Shoppers can explore the maze-like Golden Shopping Mall or New World Mall for everything from fresh produce to traditional medicines and unique souvenirs. The neighborhood offers exceptional authentic Chinese and Korean cuisine from street food to banquet meals. Getting around is easy with the 7 Express subway to Manhattan, multiple bus routes, and high walkability, though sidewalks can get crowded on weekends.

Koreatown

Koreatown in Flushing buzzes with authentic Korean energy from every storefront. The neon-lit Northern Boulevard comes alive with sizzling BBQ spots, karaoke lounges, and 24-hour restaurants serving steaming bowls of comfort food. Beyond Korean delights, cultural landmarks like Queens Historical Society and Kingsland Homestead sit just moments away, giving history buffs plenty to explore. Dining options range from street food carts to bustling H Mart food courts where flavors transport you straight to Seoul. Korean spas offer round-the-clock relaxation after your food adventures through this vibrant cultural pocket of Queens.

Linden Hill offers a flavorful escape into Korean American culture right in the heart of Queens. Stroll down Union Street where authentic Korean BBQ spots and specialty markets create a feast for your senses. Hungry travelers can indulge in everything from sizzling bulgogi to fresh kimchi at family-run restaurants that locals actually frequent. Getting around requires some planning—hop on the Q15, Q16, or Q28 buses to connect with the Flushing-Main Street subway station. Most visitors stay in nearby Flushing hotels and make day trips to explore this genuine cultural enclave.

"We stayed at The Rowe on a family trip to NYC 11 years ago, and my daughter asked to stay there again, even though the property has undergone significant changes in recent years. We found the staff to be incredibly helpful and personable, and we loved how centrally located the hotel is to practically everything! I am certain we will choose to stay at The Rowe whenever we get a chance to go to NYC again!"

New York Marriott Marquis

10/10 Excellent
"This was my 5th time in New York and this hotel has by far been my favorite. Check in was smooth, front desk was beyond helpful in accommodating early check in and late check out. Property was very clean. Location was 10/10 and there is security on property so we felt safe the entire time. It was after midnight and in dire need of feminine hygiene products, even though the general store was closed the front desk went out of their way to personally get me the product I needed. This hotel has transportation services to and from JFK for a very reasonable price, which we found out through the bellman, Ricardo. He also had our luggage in the van ready to go when we were set to leave to the airport. Our trip was perfect from beginning to end, I will 100% stay here again."

"Just perfect!! Went as 2 solo women and felt absoultely comfortable in every way. It was clean, shower was spacious with hot water, we had a beautiful window and view, comfortable beds, and plenty of sink space. Also really appreciated that the lobby was up on a higher floor and you had to take a separate elevator to get up to the actual rooms."
