"Great location between the cathedral and the market in the old town with all the amazing cafes, shops and historical sites to offer…. and just a 30 minute walk to the Guggenheim through the new town. Super little hotel with friendly, helpful staff, great breakfast offering a range of freshly made hot and cold dishes. Room was a big snug with limited hanging space but clean, cool and everything worked."
"I had tripped while walking to the hotel and the manager on duty immediately brought me ice for bruises and a cut lip, bandaids and special water.
Breakfast as part of the reservation was ample with many choices taken at the restaurant next door.
Despite the unusual hot weather I walked to the Guggenheim Museum and around the Old Town."
"The amenity ‘parking available’ was for us a reason to choose this hotel, however it should not be taken too seriously. The hotel itself is on a very busy street without parking and/or standing option. We tried to call the hotel where we should be parking, however no one picked up. We ended up returning our car to the airport early and just work with an uber.
Upon check-in the receptionist said that they work with a garage across the river in a different part of town? Just be honest and don’t offer this as an amenity. The pintxo that we tried 8pm was clearly old. No advertisement for their Michelin star restaurant."
"A wonderful hotel in the old town and close to the river. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean.
We found the air conditioning a bit underpowered - more of an air cooler than an air conditioner - but we did visit in a 40 degree heatwave!
There’s a lift to the 5th floor but we were on 6th so if stairs are a problem I’d advise you to contact the hotel before your stay and ask not to be on floor 6.
There is no parking at the hotel, but there is a large underground carpark less than 5 mins walk away. And the hotel will give you 10% discount on the cost. However if you have heavy luggage, it’s not an ideal place to stay because the entrance is in a pedestrian area so you can’t really drop luggage off before you park.
The surrounding area is beautiful and full of bars and restaurants as well as stunning architecture. The Guggenheim Museum is a very pleasant 20 min stroll along the river. I will definitely book here if I visit Bilbao again."
