I chose the hotel because it was pet-friendly and did not charge extra for my dog, but I would recommend it to anyone. Nice, clean room with a coffee-maker and fridge, plus a full complimentary breakfast.

The hotel was excellent as a base for visiting several state parks in the area, the closest being Watkins Glen which is so close the hotel parking is just outside the official parking. The hotel has character from the rooms down to the unique features of selling its own home made ice-cream and beeswax. The breakfast is simple but nice, waffles (with the help of the waffle machine), apples, bananas and coffee.
I had intended on staying at the hotel down the block. But when it turned up that there were no more rooms for my dates, I picked this hotel very last minute and hoped for the best. The property was recently renovated and the rooms are a nice size and well appointed. The continental breakfast in the am is spare but everything was fresh and hit the spot. The owners ran the front desk and were kind and helpful when I needed to print a parking pass for our campus visit. I'd come back any time!
Property is definately like no where else I have stayed. Loved the friendly staff, the lobby area and the deck area. Rooms are "dorm size" but efficient for a few nights stay!
The owners were very pleasant and the place was very clean. Short walk to some beautiful waterfalls and a short drive to Watkins Glen Racetrack. Highly recommend, will return in the future.
