It's a very good base for walking in the area, though the lake is not as pretty as Titisee up the road. Parking was easy, luckily, but they also give you a pass while you're there and you can take the train wherever you want. If you have a dog, the facilities are good and they were very kind. The hotel is immediately located beyond the train station, and is central to shops and restaurants. From my room, I experienced beautiful views of the mountains and enjoyed natural light within the well maintained and nicely decorated room.
