Yes, it may seem like you are out in the boonies but actually you are only 20 minutes or less from town using the bus which is right across from the hotel. We did several times and it was wonderful, the staff explain how it works and it went off without a hitch. and it you enjoy hiking the mt trail is just down the road, I did one morning and my brother did the next. We spent our first night in Slovenia here arriving quite late. Eurie at the reception desk was very kind, friendly and welcomed us warmly. The room we had was spacious and clean. In the morning, a delicious breakfast was served in the dining room. Eurie was at the desk in the morning and provided very helpful tips about where to visit in Kranj as well as how to get to our next destination.
Don’t let the term hostel deter you from booking this wonderful hotel. While they do have bunk rooms with shared bathrooms, we booked a beautiful room with ensuite bath. It was quiet and extremely clean. The location of the hotel is walkable from train or bus stations and is in the heart of the historic area of a lovely town. The view from the hostels back terrace and our bedroom was amazing.
The best. Traveling with 2 friends for the last 30 years over much of the world, I would rank this one of the most delightful small hotels. Lovely third floor suite overlooking Lake Bled complete with the perfect castle highlighted by a rainbow. Staff was young and professional while maintaining a warm sense of humor. Great location in a recently opened hotel. Awesome location steps away from the old city. Beware that you will be charged for more than two people in the room even though it has a separate sleep sofa.
Everything was really lovely, my room was very clean- which is always my main concern at hotels. The pool area was fantastic, and so was the breakfast. We had a room with a lake view and it was stunning...... I have no complaints, it was terrific.
Helpful friendly desk staff pointed out where to go on downtown map. Encourage taking stairs, lined with photos of attractions. Room was clean, with view toward Old Town. Can be noisy, as people singing on the street at 3am, but this is downtown, expect some of that. Quite good breakfast spread, not just breads. Desk staff spoke English and can help with arranging tours.
