We spent 2 nights at the hotel while on a college visit with my daughter. We arrived at almost 1:00 in the morning, very tired and ready to hit the pillows. The young man who greeted us at the desk was very welcoming and made sure we knew about breakfast the next morning. The following day we were exausted after visiting the college. The hotel was fine, but Expedia was not! The lady I talked with was not helpful and was rather rude! She refused to give me the hotel's local phone # so I could ask them some questions regarding our planned stay. I reported this to the hotel personal and they said they have had problems with Expedia.
This hotel was renovated a few years ago and re-opened. All rooms are on the 2nd floor and I've stayed in about 4 different ones as each one is unique to the building's architecture. I mention the second floor because there is no elevator so you have to use stairs. Handicapped people might have trouble, I'd check with the hotel as to what they can accommodate. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The woman at the front desk went out of her way to print off maps to Oxford, Ohio for the families staying there. Everything was very clean throughout the hotel. The breakfast was very tasty and there were plenty of choices for everyone. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a very positive experience over freshman move-in weekend. The town was overwhelmed and the Oxford Inn bent over backwards to accommodate us. That’s a rare treat in today’s world.
