Tara Place was a wonderful hotel to stay in for a few days in Bangkok. The entire hotel was clean, well-kept, and the staff was professional and courteous. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, from a/c to locking safe. There was a small window with a nice view (could see the top of Emerald Buddha Temple), and you could watch the sunrise from lovely shared balcony/terrace on the fourth floor. There are plenty of food options nearby the hotel, both restaurants and street food....

Booking: Solo Traveler. Chosen from Expedia based on Reviews, Price and Location. Airport Connection: Not convenient but not a problem. Took the Airport Rail to Ratchraprop station, jumped on bus 73 to Saphun Phut stop and then walked 1 km to the hotel. Total cost was 46 baht. Or take the train to Phaya Thai station, jump in a cab and go straight to hotel. That would cost ~160 baht total and be much faster with less confusion. Just avoid taxi from the airport to avoid the special taxes and...
