The room, bathroom and entire property were spotless, the bed was very comfortable with nice linens. Mirko and his wife Daniella were very attentive and welcoming to my husband and me after a long flight from Phoenix Arizona to Milan and the drive to their lovely home. The breakfast was excellent and the kitchen was well appointed. Although Mirko doesn’t speak much English, we were still able to have a lovely conversation upon arrival, at breakfast each morning and the morning of our departure....

I was mind blown by the kindness and enthusiasm when I arrived a few HOURS early… instead of receiving a typical annoyed response there was a warm heartfelt welcome and joyful notification that my room was ready. The receptionist also gave me a great explanation of things to do in the area along with 2 maps. The housekeeper‘s warmth made me feel like my mom was taking care of me. Had a fantastic time at this very unique hotel located above the city of Zermatt on the Mountain Gornergrat. We requested a room with a view of the Matterhorn and we were extremely pleased with our room and view. The price of the hotel included dinner and breakfast (at least in our case).
