If you're planning a bit of sightseeing during your trip, head to Laguna Petexbatún— just one of the landmarks located 5.1 mi (8.2 km) from central Sayaxché.
The property was amazing.. the staff was great. A gem in an unlikely location. Although there was no other hotel like it around, it was a 5-7 minute drive to the Island of Flores where all the night life and restaurants are. Would definitely come again.
The hotel, consisting of separate cabanas, is conveniently located on a main road near Flores, Guatemala. We arrived in a high-roof van with a roof rack and were able to access the property without any issues. We greatly enjoyed the grilled dinner for 4. The pool was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful!
This is amazing hotel. The service is top quality. Employees are friendly and very helpful. We stayed at a room with king bed. It's three times the size of a regular hotel room. Our room was overlooking the lake behind the reception. Behind the water is an amazing forest view. I preferred it to the rooms overlooking the bigger lake on the other side of the property. You can relax in the hot tub watching the forest, listening to the howling monkey shout. Such a unique experience.. If you are a...
Not too small. Not too big. But the rooms are nicely-sized. And while the hotel does not have central air conditioning, the in-room units are powerful, which is an absolute necessity (for me, at least) in the very hot, very humid rain forest of the Peten. The rooftop bar is a lively place to be in town, but it quiets down very nicely when it is time to go sleep. The rooftop pool is small, but (a) the hotel is not that big, it won't be crowded, and (b) it's big enough for cooling dip when the...
We are planning on going back on December for the 13 Baktun, the mayan era change. This hotel is definitely our choice before traveling to the mayan cities.
The docks that are pictured in the photos are submerged underwater and have been for some time as they are very slippery and covered in algae but the property is still very usable and extremely beautiful. The staff was so kind and attentive and they let us stay on the property 5 hours past our checkout time until our flights were leaving! The food from the restaurant and the drinks from the bar were absolutely delightful. We loved our stay here and would absolutely go back again.
Great customer service and if you have to check out early before breakfast is served, they will give you breakfast in a bag to go. You just have to let them know the day before you check out..
One of the older hotels on the island but going strong. Clean and up-to-date rooms. I had one of the cheaper ones overlooking the pool. Staff was helpful and friendly. Packed breakfast and taxi were arranged for my early morning flight (before regular breakfast service)
Tienes que vivirlo para contarlo, todo limpio, servicio de comida calidad, algo pequeño que debería arreglar sería la amabilidad al entrar, las chicas deberian exoresar mejor atención igual asi regresaria de nuevo? Si.
Great location in the western side of Flores looking across at the tiny museum and radio station island of Santa Barbara. Very close to small grocers, gifts shops and delicious, cheap street tacos. 5 minute walk to activity pick up point. Kind and friendly staff, great little cafe that claims to be owned and operated by women, great bar and decent (though expensive) restaurant with the same view as the rooms. There is a disco across the street that is very loud, so bring ear plugs or crank the...
