Nice Swiss style hotel, Very helpful staff

I really liked the place and I would definitely stay there again. The staff was helpful, the rooms were clean and the food was great.

Great stay and amenities. The restaurant on site was good too, with options for buffet or à la carte.

It was an impressive hotel with spectacular views.

Stayed 4days/3 nights.Took some getting used to. 1st flr reception&restaurant are modern, but the rest was more medical than 'spa'. Not what we were expecting, so took time to appreciate. Rooms-simple, spacious,comfortable&very clean. Furniture in great shape. Bathroom had window to room reducing privacy. BUT you see balcony view, so appreciated the decision. We paid extra for valleyview & it didn't disappoint! Altho a little loud at times w/tractors,cows&cars, but it was gorgeous &every sunset...

Lakeside. Polite and friendly staff. Easy access to transit.

Everything was good with the exception of the air conditioner / fan unit. It just wasn't working and we didn't figure that out until midnight. The hotel staff did what they could to try to fix the problem, and it just wasn't something we could fix so late. I appreciated their effort. Breakfast was really amazing, and the room had a great view. Highly recommended, especially if you need parking. Bus comes frequently and is direct, takes only 10 minutes or so.

The hotel is next to an old church and within the old town. The building is almost 500 years old and the style of hotel decorations and facilities, such as lamps and furniture, are in tune with the ambience. The room has a cute coffee maker.

We were very pleased with our 2 night stay in Lucerne at the Cascada. The hotel is a convenient distance from the train station, an easy walk with luggage but far enough away that you can't hear trains. Reception was excellent and was able to get us into our room a couple hours before check-in time. They also were able to put us in a room towards the quiet back side of the building (little to no street noise.) Switzerland uses outlet plugs which are different from anywhere we've been in Europe....

Nice hotel near transportation but its not in the city

Great stay at Hotel des Balances. Had a lovely balcony room facing the water. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Located in the middle of everything. Highly recommend, pic on the hotel’s balcony.

Check in a little annoying had to get someone on the phone. Place was adorable and clean and nice view. Definitely recommend

Super helpful staff! Great location, across from bus stop and beer garden.

The staff was great but Expedia may want to stop using the motel. Every night except Saturday and Sunday (Easter weekend) it was very loud outside until 1 pm. Loud music, loud talking and traffic noise came from outside the hotel, I do not know if it came from the restaurant or the bar across the street. The windows need to be upgraded. Plus the A/c barely worked and it was very warm that week but they did bring me the fan. I say complaints from other people about the loudness if the...
