Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre

"Our room was lovely and updated with vinyl laminate floor ( no more gross carpet) . The mattresses were very comfortable and there were plenty of full size pillows. The resort is beautiful, and we had no complaints except noise. People walking through the hallway may as well have microphones. The door is thick and heavy, but it sure doesn’t keep the noise out. We were in 103 so the lounge is roughly above that room and you hear every chair scraping across the floor. It’s an easy fix with some felt pads, but for some reason they expect people to put up with the noise. At check out they told me to ask for the “far other end” so it’s quieter next time. So, my advice when booking is to tell them you do not want to be near the lounge wing. Also, know that all rooms are pet friendly, so if you have allergies you may want to consider that. Other than that the resort is lovely!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at Tuna Blue. The room was spacious, clean, bed was comfortable. Coffee maker in the room and milk in the fridge. Million dollar view from the balcony. As for the restaurant…amazing. Best of all was the staff. Oh, and a short walk up the road to the Shore Club and the ice cream stand on the way to the beach. If you’re looking for a genuine feel for the real Nova Scotia this is the place. Need I say…highly recommended."

"We had a beautiful view of the harbour from our room. The room was spacious. The only downside was the bathroom amenities and parking. We were given one shampoo packet each, and parking is on the street. We were fortunate to find a close parking spot but were afraid to drive somewhere and lose our spot. There is parking at the harbour for $25 a day if there is room. We would go back for the view."
