Room was amazing, front desk staff very responsive to request. Breakfast was okay but I would go to local bakery next time . We will definitely stay again if we return to Solothurn.

The hotel is about an hour from Bern, a small town, but if you need a night in a comfy hotel room with AC and space, stay there. The staff was amazing!

We are a big family and were welcomed with open arms. Hotel Balsthal is a charming, modern hotel with a rustic feel to it. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be back. Staff is very welcoming to children and went above and beyond to accommodate our little ones. It is surrounded by beautiful nature trails and old castles to visit. I strongly recommend staying here!!!

This Hotel is wonderful in every way! The staff was very accommodating and surprised us with an upgrade to a suite which had a huge balcony, kitchen, 2 baths and a living room. Did I mention 2 TVs! The breakfast was very good with a lot of fresh fruit, which I appreciated, meats, cheeses, eggs, assortment of breads and pastries. Hotel was walking distance to the city and shopping. For those not inclined to walk the hotel provided tram tickets for the duration of the stay! The hotel also had a great continental breakfast and the staff was EXCELLENT! Very friendly, accommodating and very informative- also spoke excellent English which was a bonus! Planning on staying there again on my next trip to Bern!

Personal was very friendly and help full. Although, the hotel was far from old town, the public transportation was very close and reliable. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The breakfast was great and really good. Public transportation was across the street and very close to the hotel. Our room had a great view of the city and the Bern Expo. The staff were all friendly, and very helpful. Highly recommend this place. Definitely when we are visiting Bern we will stay here again. Its a great hotel. Worth every penny and more. It is an apartment which has 3 rooms. We were put in the room with King bed. There were 2 bathrooms shared between 3 rooms. but since one room was empty, we were given one bathroom with no one sharing with us. the room was very clean and everything was smelling fresh and new. it was very comfy. the apartment has a kitchen, which we used to make vegetarian food for us. the super market is just below the building so you can get the groceries and cook....
