Lighthouse Motel

"We are country folk so we’re happier staying at the country style motel. Mirka and Eugene are the sweetest and kindest owners. They are friendly and eager to help. I really appreciate how clean and fresh smelling the rooms were and comfortable the beds were — fabulous mattresses!!!. I slept so good two nights in a row and that never happens at home. My favourite room is #1 at the end. We used the available picnic table and grill/bbq (2) on site. We had bought wrapped and prepared chicken and veg kabobs. My husband asked at the office if they had any tongs, and he was given whatever we needed to make that meal a success, Thanks to the supplies by our hosts. The peace and quiet and waking up to the natural countryside. Our last morning I notice the whisps of foggy vapours in the valley behind the house and how peaceful that was for the start of September. This will be “our spot” to stay when we come back to the area."

"Desk Clerk was super nice! Pool and Hot Tub area were very clean. The room was clean and comfy, water was hot with good pressure. AC worked well, and the outside seats for morning coffee were good. Parking was a plus since we could park in front of the door. Would recommend and visit again."

"We chose a king room with water view and balcony, we we put in the Gledhill building, which has clearly been renovated. Our room was huge, bed and bedding very comfy, played cards on our balcony and walked to and from the dining room both nights. Enjoyed daily hot tubs, pool dip, sauna and sitting out on pool deck space to watch the river in our spa robes. Very charming and quiet, peaceful and private. Would return in a heartbeat"

"so the room was fantastic, and of all the beds i slept in while travelling in Ontario, and there were many, lol, this was by far the best nights sleep i had, bar none. one other thing, i was really late getting there and the young lady at the front stayed after her shift was over to make sure i got in ok, that is the kind of thing you don't see often and i was so grateful! will most definitely be back next year, but for a few more days."
