"Clean room "

"I have stayed at this property before but this time was a different experience. There was hair in the shower and also hair on the towels. An addition to this issue someone tried to get into my room in the middle of the night. I informed the front desk and they did not do anything."

"This place was, to put it kindly, disgusting. The exterior looked poor from the get go, trash everywhere and glass in the parking lot. The front desk staff was not friendly…there was a strange person standing there hanging out when we were checking in just leering. They weren’t ever around and the place absolutely smelled terrible. Like feet, and weed. The carpets and walls were just dirty…all the furniture was ripped/in poor condition. The hallways were very dirty and smelled terrible, the elevator was the same and made many scary sounds as if it needed to be serviced and might not operate in the near future. The room was simple, but again, just seemed gross, dirty, smelly. The bathroom tiles were being held in place by god only knows what. The beds were comfy, but my family and I were scared to lay in them just because everything else seemed so gross. Room temp was irregular, bathroom floor tiles were sticky. The breakfast area was very unclean, even the walls were covered in what looked like food or liquid, so much so my family didn’t really want to eat. The coffee tasted like celery and was not good. We didn’t use the pool for obvious reasons nor did we step foot in the fitness area, so we cannot comment on those areas. Overall, it worked to stay at, but we all felt gross and just wanted out of there. We did as much as we could not to have to go back and be there. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever really had. Maybe bulldoze this place and start fresh? "

"Wonderful place! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to to visit Shipshewana and surroundings. Clean and very friendly staff! Excellent breakfast as well. Best of all, Coffee is always available!!"
