DoubleTree by Hilton Poughkeepsie Convention Center
8/10 Good
"First-class hotel, except for the breakfast. My spouse and child waited for 40 minutes to be fed until they gave up and left. They observed other patrons not getting any breakfast, either. Probably just as well, as the prices were outrageously high (even if the service had been even remotely competent). The drive-thru window at Dunkin' Donuts provided better service and at much more reasonable prices. I would stay at the Doubletree again, but I would plan to avoid their restaurant at all costs."
Inn at Bellefield / Hyde Park, Residence Inn by Marriott
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was great...fun bar, very nice rooms with kitchen small living room area. But the reason we stayed was the Culinary Institute. The staff told us it was a 5 min walk, Please be advised it is not 5 min more like 10-15 min. The hill from the hotel is step and it's also steep to go up to the Culinary Institute. If your young its fine. But people who don't walk to well should expect to take and Uber maybe 7-10.00$ We took and Uber home because it was dark out after we had our dinner. You can pick up and Uber very easy by the students dorms."
Hampton Inn & Suites Poughkeepsie

"Miguel at the front desk was lovely. Very friendly, helpful, thorough, and fast. The bed was the best at any hotel we’ve ever been to…we are looking into buying one for our home! Only disappointment was the broken hot tub but oh well."

Residence Inn by Marriott Kingston
10/10 Excellent
"We liked that the room was spacious and clean. We were able to check in early. The only thing we didn’t like is that there were pets in the hotel - we learned when our neighbor’s dog was barking. We hope there was never a dog in our room as we are allergic. We don’t know how that works."
Howard Johnson by Wyndham Saugerties

"Very great stay and cleanest!"
Minnewaska Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful hidden gem in the Minnewaska/Mohonk region of NY! The lodge was beautiful and the staff was great (Donna was the best!). Highly recommend."
Rhinecliff Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The Radcliffe hotel is amazing. The view is truly outstanding with the wide width of the Hudson at your windows and deck. Part of its charm is its history and the investment put into it to make it be a modern hotel is obvious. The determination to keep the old wood floors adds a degree of rustic elegance. The train tracks running along the Hudson bring back the heritage of the location. The tugboats to barges to sailboats and magnificent sunsets add to the water front setting. As a base for touring the history of the eastern side of the Hudson is perfect. From Olana to the Vanderbilt home and FDR historic site it is easily driveable."
