Late check in was very easy. The ro was very spacious and clean. The bed was super comfy. It is super close to restaurants as well. The breakfast hours are a little late on weekends, but there are coffee packets and tea in the room.
OK place, used for only one night after spending all day and evening trying to spot a platypus at broken river. Management seemed very nice and had a very brief inexpensive dinner there.
We have booked for one night . Aron at the reception was very helpfull. Booked for us the tour to Fraser Island for 2 days. We could leav our car at the motel and had the same room back.

We stayed at Potter's on our way to the islands to help with scientific research. The staff was outstanding in providing us with transportation, keeping our suitcases after we checked out, and sharing information and insights about Mackay and its history. The hotel is comfortable, quiet, a block from the coastal preserve and a short walk from Mackay's central business district. We highly recommend it!
The Manager/Owner he was very easy going he had an awesome attitude which has reflected through his staff who were very funny and hard workers which our rooms were clean during our stay clean towels everyday and air con was perfect. Our stay at Marco Polo was awesome
If you have to go to Mackay this is the place to stay. I felt like I was a family member. The lively couple who takes care of the lodge were so nice and helpful. They helped me book a tour to the Whitsundays, gave me great recommendations on food and other activities. They even dropped me off at the airport.
