Lovely, lovely. The proprietors and cook are friendly and considerate. There are many interesting features in the home, its decor, and the gardens. Our room (the Belvedere) was spacious—bedroom with sitting area, bathroom, living room with sitting area. The delicious breakfast was multiple courses and served on authentic heirloom quality dishes. The surrounding village, forest, and lakes are beautiful. A magical stay.
The hotel was located conveniently for access into Mûritz National Park, especially by bicycle. The restaurant at the hotel had an excellent dinner. I was surprised when they did not give me the two story room, with the balcony, that I reserved and paid for. They also asked me to pay for my room a second time. They gave me a less roomy one story room, with no refund for the difference. I don’t know if these problems were caused by Expedia or the hotel, but it was a little unsettling.
We stopped overnight here and stayed in the guest house which is located a short stroll from the main hotel. The guest house is more like a motel type room lacking character but was fine for the in einem night. The actual hotel is located by the dam and it was lovely to sit out and drink a beer by the side of it. We also walked into nearby Feldberg an der around the half island which was interesting. The restaurant food and also breakfast was tasty with good choices.
We loved this location. Very beautiful location, we were there close to beginning of summer and the water and weather were amazing. Watching the sunset from the balcony made for a memorable evening
Good spot. Breakfast is great! Convenient check in options for check in after reception hours. No 24/7 front desk. Didn't have a kettle or silverware in the room but ot was no problem getting some from the staff. Very friendly!
The pillows were pretty bad, super soft with feathers and no other options in the room. Pillows and the two single mattresses instead of one big one would be my only complaint. But also standard for Germany and personal preference.
