The place is very clean and quiet. It is in an exclusive neighborhood. Very safe to walk around. Their staff are very friendly and very service oriented. Breakfast was faboulous.
The only thing is, it is a little further away from the city. Need a taxi to go anywhere but the taxi is also readily available and staff will call them for us. Wait time is very short usually less than 10 minutes.
Would definitely return to and recommend the Meridiana Country Hotel. Loris Frascarelli and his staff were wonderful and could not do enough for us during our stay. Upon our arrival, Loris gave us a choice of rooms; we obviously took the one with the better view. The Meridiana is quaint, accommodating, clean, in a beautiful location and close to a fantastic local restaurant they recommended just down the road (Gennaro); you could actually walk there.
Family and I stayed at la fortezza for three days...staff exceeded all our expectations and provided great help from where to eat to what transportation to take to the airport.
It was truly an exceptional experience everything was at top rate quality. It takes less than 4 mintes go to the center of Florence because tranvia( transportation) is just close to the hotel. Staffs are very friendly. Rooms are exceptionally clean. Breakfast was great. Highly recommended.
Horrible! Do not go there! Because if you stay there once, your standards will rise and you will have hard time comparing other hotels to this one which exceeded all standards. Do not get fooled by its 3-star status, as the rooms, deco and services would definitely compete with at least a 4-star counterpart. What a fantastic experience at Milu! To start, the staff was friendly and made us feel at home right away. Our room was clean and quiet, with the most amazing shower! We enjoyed the breakfast on the patio and found it to be a very satisfying way to start the day. The hotel maintained a relaxed feel while still being vibrant - colorful, modern art and design to enjoy while relaxing with a cup of tea from the open library. We would definitely stay again, thanks Milu for a great experience!
We have stayed at Silla prior to this visit and love the Hotel. The area is a perfect walk to the center of Florence but it is off the busy streets and very quiet. The staff is always very accommodating, willing to help in any way they can. They serve breakfast daily and it is a very nice way to start your busy day. The rooms are large and comfortable and also very quiet, affording a nice night's sleep after a busy day of touring.

The property is in the middle of where you want to be. The staff was exceptional. The rooms were spotless and well accommodated. My wife and I had one room and our 3 college aged kids had another. The breakfast was excellent.
I am very busy and don't like to waste my time but I thought I had to compliment this hotel and the staff. My wife and I traveled with our daughter and we were expecting to be very tight in the room. We were given a very spacious suite with two bedrooms. The beds were great, the view was spectacular facing the cathedral. The breakfast menu was delicious. Staff was great. I will return
This was our first hotel for our trip to Italy. We were pleasantly surprised. Though it seemed a bit out of the way, it was actually quite close to many sights and the train station.
