We arrived after check in and were greeted by a young man who works there who set the tone for the stay with a generous spirit, helpful response to every question and a casual friendliness. This is a "retreat," off the track of bustling tourism and ordinary commerce, tucked away in the vineyards. Beautiful vegetation and gardens, wild wallabies, waking to bird songs and a sumptuous breakfast—or maybe a dip in the pool. Definitely a keeper.
We loved this bed and breakfast - in fact it was a highlight for two of our children. Imagine staying in a antique foundry! The courtyard and living space we stayed in were spacious and decorated with time period pieces. The breakfast provided was delicious and highlighted the thoughtfulness of the owners (including foods for kids and different temperaments). I enjoyed reading the history of the buildings and the photographs on display of the original owners.
This was one of the most welcoming experiences we have ever had. Sofia really does make you feel as if you're family. Her knowledge of the nearby vineyards was invaluable to us. Our breakfast and send off were beautiful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, conveniently close to the Seppeltsfield winery and its beautiful surroundings!
The property is nicely maintained, and the tent was very comfortable and beautifully appointed.
The GPS first sent us to the parking lot of the Seppelt Family Mausoleum, but we backtracked found the proper entrance to the proper parking lot.
Since the property is managed remotely with no reception office on site, a sign in the parking lot with the contact phone could be useful,...
We had a lovely one night stay in The Barn and would love to return in the future. This place is a gem! Private, beautiful landscape and very well done inside with high end finishes. Loved the brick walls throughout and cosy, yet high end feel.
The jacuzzi tub with nice smelling bath salts and candles was very romantic. Having breakfast provided was a huge help as we were there on a Wednesday where a lot of places are closed.
If you are going to Barossa definitely stay here. You will not be...
