"Very interesting place to stay and visit. Weekend activity of drumming and children dancing lessons lead by a line up of drummers…
Food was good and available on site. Rooms with air conditioning.
Spent four nights…. Always would return for more cultural experiences..

"The environment was very clean including the rooms, passages and the entire compound. The structure of the room is outstandingly very good.
Few Recommendation:
1) Provide Wifi Password on check - since it is included in the total package.

"La Villa Aphro was our home away from home. The tucked away boutique resort felt like our own personal Air B and B. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a delightful welcome native drink that I wanted to drink the entire trip. My. Husband arrived with an upset stomach from our united airlines flight from IAD. Staff immediately jump to action showed to our room and made him two drinks. A special ginger drink the bartender put together and seltzer. My husband slept and was felling back to his self by dinner.
We booked the Luxury Chalet which had breath taking view of the ocean. Just as pictured.
The food was amazing we didn’t do the full board but everything was very affordable. Breakfast was filled with fresh pastries every morning and an assortment of local fruits. As well as some other traditional Ghanaian, as well some more American known eggs, sausages and pancakes.
Each meal could felt like a small feast for my husband and we could barely finish.
This trip and celebration for my 40th birthday and omg I don’t know what my husband told them but when we returned from are nightmare dinner at the Polo club restaurant and lounge they totally made up for it. From rose petals on the bed spelling how Happy Birthday with my name and balloon decorations with a beautiful cake. I felt like Royalty my entire stay. I slept so peacefully listening to the waves crashing always.
If you’re looking for a peaceful quiet getaway I highly suggest La Villa Aphro Ghana. I could go on and on. "
"Absolutely Appalling – Checked Out Without Staying - Hotel still refuses to refund reservation payment.
I checked in after 10pm, only to be told by the receptionist that they weren’t even aware of my reservation. After a long wait in a tiny, seatless reception, we were led to a stuffy, dirty room that clearly hadn’t been cleaned — bed linens looked used, the AC was off, and there was a lingering smell of dirt.
Asked to change rooms, only to be shown another clearly-used space — bedsheets just straightened, and a leaking AC dripping behind the bed. Totally unacceptable.
Yes, the exterior looked okay with a neat lawn, but the rooms were filthy, unprepared, and unfit for paying guests.
Worst of all, I had prepaid online and couldn’t get a refund, even though I left without spending the night.
Avoid this hotel — they are not ready for guests, and certainly not worth your money.
