This hotel was very clean and comfortable and my room was very spacious. The staff was so sweet and helpful. I had a beautiful view from my balcony. Breakfast was fantastic. I highly recommend it!

Such a special place. Unbelievable meal at the restaurant, incredibly warm service, so much thoughtfulness all around.

The hotel is right across from Lake Bohinj. The parking was very easy. The hotel is very clean and has an elevator. The room was large, and we had a room with a balcony facing the lake! The bathroom was a good size.

View from the living area is awesome, can see the snow - capped mountains while enjoying your morning coffee. The sauna is a wonderful surprise! Place is very close to Lake Jasna, a very underrated lake in our opinion.

Loved the small vineyard on the property and the view of the surrounding mountains. The host was friendly and helpful. When we couldn't get a taxi to respond on a Sunday morning she drove us into town herself! This place was a taste of real Italy off the beaten tourist path.

We stayed a total of four nights while hiking in the Julian Alps. The hotel was very accommodating, at one point allowing us to extend an extra night when the weather was bad. The staff (whose English overall was quite good) also helped us change a reservation at one of the mountain huts. The breakfast buffet is generous, and the free wi-fi was easy to use and had a good connection. We would stay at the Kompas again if in KG.

Two nights using the hotel as a base to visit Nova Gorica and Bled. Breakfast buffet was extensive - continental choices plus scrambled eggs and British sausage. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. The dining room staff sometimes does double duty at registration desk. Lots of tourist information. Bus stop is a 5 minute walk and train station is a couple of minutes longer.

Upon arrival the staff was extremely helpful and very polite. We had our dog with us and they suggested places to go with him that he would enjoy. They were spot on. The room was very clean and perfect for the 4 of us. The only suggestion is that the front entry is not great for rolling heavy suitcases into the lobby.
