We stayed in several hotels during our trip to the Netherlands and Germany and the Boutique Hotel Annamaes was our favorite for many reasons. It was the only comfortable bed I slept in during the week and the rooms were gorgeous--simply and elegantly decorated. This hotel was perfectly situated in the core of old Maastricht. It is an older hotel but very well maintained. You are basically steps away from numerous historic sites, shopping, excellent restaurants, cafes, and bars. There is even a movie theater nearby and a grocery store conveniently located on the same block. The staff were very friendly and helpful from the front desk, breakfast, and room cleaning. Oh, and the bed was sooo comfortable! I will absolutely return.

As for me as a solo traveler this hotel was perfect for me.. My room was on the 1st floor.. A/C worked great, and the bed was comfortable.. The shower was great and breakfast was good.. Its an older hotel so the halls have old carpet.. But the room had new windows and could hear nothing from outside.. Parking garage across street at train station.. And plenty of food options all around.. I will stay here again next time I come..
