"We had a great (3-nights) stay at Strandhotellet. It is a lovely stylish hotel with a quaint atmosphere, and a short walk to the beach and restaurants. We received excellent service and the staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming. Note if you stay during the warmer season: There’s no AC in the room or ventilation in the bathrooms. "Vi har boede flere forskellige steder i Nordjylland, når vi nyder ferie der. Denne gang i Birkelse, som vi ikke kendte til. Vi kiggede på fornuftige priser med mulighed for at medbringe hund. Og det fandt vi i Birkelse Hotel og Kro. Alt helt i orden og fint og dejlig at bo der med ekstra udgang direkte til parkeringspladsen. Værelset kan ikke var ret gammelt og virkede super godt. Et godt anbefalingsværdigt sted!!! Dejligt roligt område med hundeområde og parkområde lige uden for døren."

"Great stay, clean and cozy apartment right in the city center, with a view over the central square. Multiple restaurants and shopping options within seight. Very nice parking area with a reserved spot just behind the hotel (accessible from Houmannsvej). Very nice experience. "

"This is a lovely hotel. The views over the north sea are spectacular, and the hotel has been recently renovated and is beautiful. The restaurant was excellent; I strongly recommend that you dine here and make dinner reservations when you book your room (as it can book up). The hotel is close to hiking trails and has fascinating WWII bunkers on the property. We booked a deluxe double room with a terrace and a sea view, which was wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel."

"Vi hadde et hyggelig opphold, men det var flere ting som trakk ned opplevelsen. Hytta var støvete og det var en innestengt lukt i hytta. Når vi kom tok vi selv å vasket ned hytta og luftet sengetøyet. Vi fikk et helt greit opphold men dette stedet trenger noen oppgraderinger. Så vi finner nok et annet sted i nærheten hvis vi kommer tilbake til området på ferie."

"This place has a certain charm because it is smaller and very relaxed as well as 2 to 4 walk to all the restaurants and even the beach. The town is very special in that it is small but has lots of dining options and is located about 200 meters from the beach. Rooms are smallish but adequate."

"100% acceptable for the money. Reasonably clean, ok breakfast, comfortable beds. Excellent for an overnight stay."

"Vi hadde én natt i badehus, vi hadde egentlig bestilt dobbeltrom, men eier var så snill og oppgraderte oss! Det var rent og trivelig i badehuset, med en behagelig seng. Litt kaldt om natten fordi det blåste mye, og ventilen på veggen ikke kunne lukkes. Fine fellesområder, varmt og godt på familebaderommet der vi dusja. Anbefales!"
